New World Season 10: Nighthaven items to get

Season 10 Prep: Illegal Perks & Named Items

TL;DR

  • 700+ GS items become upgradable to 800, so a bunch of named items are relevant again.
  • New charm & perk slots will shift the meta; illegal combos on some named pieces could resurface.
  • Farm now: Lifering Rapier/Longsword (Tor Riven), Frigid Dawn (craft via Dense Mutator Materia), Worm drops for PvP, and a luck set for new content.
  • Rings with Damage + Keen Awareness (GS 625 fixed) may still be viable depending on GS 800 perk scaling.

Season 10 is almost here. Many of you are stockpiling mats, gold, and weapon levels, or (like me) finally cleaning that chaotic storage so you can actually pick things up in S10. With 700+ GS items upgradable to 800, several named items are about to feel fresh again. And with new charm/perk slots, the meta will move and named pieces with “illegal” perk combos could make a comeback.

Weapons

  • Lifering Rapier: With Rogue + Vicious, it becomes attractive again, especially on enemies you can backstab. It fell off when it couldn’t reach 725, but upgrades change the math.
  • Lifering Longsword: Vicious + Enchanted on-weapon is excellent. While an Artisan’s Round Shield can roll a stronger combo, having those perks on the weapon gives more shield flexibility.

Where to farm: Both drop in Tor Riven (Edengrove).

Armor: Frigid Dawn (Heavy)

  • Notable for the “illegalEnchanted Ward + Elemental Aversion pairing.
  • Drops from Mutated Glacial Tarn or you can craft pieces using Dense Mutator Materia.

Worm Named Items

Some Worm named items remain PvP monsters thanks to illegal perks:

  • Light Helmet with Savior: Great for healers.
  • Heavy Boots with Keen Speed: BIS for PvP.
  • If you’ve got Materia, there are more options worth crafting.

Rings: Low GS, High Interest

With attribute changes and Hearty removed, a few lower-GS rings might still make sense:

  • Look for illegal Damage + Keen Awareness combos on named GS 625 rings.
  • They cannot be upgraded, but the value depends on GS 800 perk scaling.
    • For reference: GS 725 Damage7.8%, GS 6255%.
    • If GS 800 doesn’t climb much higher, these rings could remain solid stopgaps or starter pieces.

Don’t Forget a Luck Set

New and reworked content (mutations, PvP, chest runs) will spread loot opportunities. Build a luck set now so you can roll straight into S10 farming.
